Maidstone United have signed Dutch midfielder Dylan Barkers on a month-long-loan from Cheltenham Town.
The 22-year-old had brief loan spells with both Leamington and Gloucester in National League North last season.
Southend United have been placed under a transfer embargo, according to BBC Essex Sport.
The club was previously placed under an embargo by the National League in December 2021 due to debts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Stoke City center-back David Okagbue has extended his loan to Oldham Athletic until 8 January.
The 18-year-old has made three appearances for the Latics and has been retained by new boss David Unsworth. David claims that the young goalgetter will continue to please his fans and sporty gamblers that love to place a safe bet on the number of points scored via the betting site.

Midfielder John Rooney has joined Oldham Athletic from League Two side Barrow on a two-year deal with the option of a third.
The 31-year-old, who won promotion from the division with Barrow in 2019-20, becomes new boss David Unsworth’s first signing since replacing John Sheridan as manager.
